Chowrasta The Mall

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train)

Step aboard the legendary Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR), fondly known as the Toy Train, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been captivating travellers since 1881. Built by the British during the colonial era, this remarkable narrow-gauge railway is an engineering marvel that winds its way through lush tea gardens, charming hillside villages, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.

One of the highlights of the journey is Ghum Railway Station, situated at an altitude of 2,258 metres (7,407 feet). It is India’s highest railway station on a regular passenger railway and one of the world’s highest narrow-gauge railway stations. Tiger Hill
